I just wanted to share with you all my first vehicle.

1973 Chevelle Malibu

36000 Original Miles (No, not a typo)

Ill let some pictures speak:

TH350 Trans, V8 350, all matching numbers.

The front fresh air box leaked as well as the rear window. Sealed both with urethane. Since they leaked, there was about 1'' of water on the floor. I had to take everything out on the inside. Good thing 6 bolts takes everything out : ) Replaced that rubber like mat underneath the carpet and rhino lined the floor to prevent rust. Also Lined the under side.

Everything is solid. If theres rust, its only surface, and theres barely any.

Down the road Id like to get an exhaust for it, it sounds like it has no balls. Along with a nice big chrome Air Filter. Thanks for looking! I love this car!

Ill get a shot of the engine in a few, Im eating dinner.

looks a lot like the 1972 Placer Gold.
Interesting color. Most people change it. Rare to see one still original.

1972 code.52 Placer Gold.

I hate the front bumper on it, it sticks out to far for my taste.

I do have a roll of fiberglass and carbon fiber laying around...hmmm : )

But, I think Ill just leave it. Its a hell of a first car, and I got a good deal on it. Any ideas of things I could do to it? Also, could someone recommend
me an exhaust? I want that deep throaty sound. Make it sound like a muscle car. (Yes, its a 73 but, its still a muscle car in my eyes haha)

Welcome Ryan -nice '73, check to see if your transmission cross member has two 'reliefs' for dual exhaust. If it does, I would call around and see who would be interested in installing a dual set up for you. That would help w/ your sound issue! I had a '76 that only had a single 'relief' and I ended up crimping one of the exhaust pipes because of that, so you can do it, just more of a pain. I would buy the mufflers and bring them in w/the car for the install. Get some Dynomax turbos -I like mine.Where abouts do you live in this great city?

Malibu is the model, you either bought a Malibu, or a SS for '73. The Type S-3 Laguna came out in '74 , which was different than a base Malibu. I don't think there was any other style offered in the 73 up years.
