The Leno advertised system is nice, but the price point is a little high.

So for those that ordered or are contemplating ordering where and how would you mount it? My initial thought was to the rear of the passenger seat tracks (bucket seat). Close to where the tracks meet the floor. The extinguisher is 11.75 inches long so might have to fashion a piece of wood ( painted to match carpet) and the using the clips attach the extinguisher to the wood. At that location it would be out of view but easily accessable.
About 18 months ago I had a small fire in the engine compartment. I had one of the wires wrapped in heat resistant tape and it was too close to the headers. I actually crawled underneath and blew the fire out with my own breath. I was seconds away from grabbing an extinguisher. All that has since been rectified but point is stuff happens.

Price point is a non issue...in comparison to your car or your house. The fact there is no cleanup is worth the price. We had to use a generic extinguisher on an oven fire and then spend all day cleaning up the kitchen. The only decision I have to make is how many to purchase...

At 11.75" long it will easily set in my 66 glove box. My ride is not a daily so there's not much in this glove box anyway. 😎

The second one is going in my wife's 72 VW Squareback. Still gotta figure that one out!

Not sure it will fit in my 69 glove box. If it did it would be on a diagonal. Guess I’ll have to measure.

Sorry if I am gonna spend that much give me a CO2 extinguisher anytime otherwise I will use my 13 dollar jobber for small fires. What happens if it is windy. What is the range...
Looks like you have to get pretty close to the fire for it to really work. If it was windy I suspect the range would shorten dramatically.

Bill,
No offense but I personally wouldn’t count on one of those spray cans to put out a fire. First of all how can one determine if the charge in the can is depleted? There is no gauge. How many times have you grabbed a nearly new can of paint only to find the charge is depleted. Secondly in the confusion of a fire one picks up the can of spray only to find the nozzle on top has rotated and when one pushes the spray nozzle it doesn’t direct the extinguisher towards the fire. Third I haven’t seen a demonstration but I can’t imagine it produces a large spray pattern from that little nozzle.
I would have a regular extinguisher (and I do have a halon extinguisher mounted in my car) before I would rely on one of those cans. But then the can is better than nothing.
