Want to change my Saginaw 4 speed for a better choice. Believe it or not, with a 12 bolt rear with either 3:08 or 3:30 gears, it cruises great on the highway to car shows.
Since I like the rear gears would you recommend finding a Muncie 4 speed or go for a modern 5 speed ?
Will a Muncie be a bolt in for the Saginaw ?

Muncie is a dead replacement for the Sagijunk. Anything else like a 5 speed OD trans, 6 speed etc requires some cutting of the floor.
