Well I went ahead and bought a portable 4 post lift, compressor, center jack for the lift (this slides from front to back to raise different areas of a car),A tall tripod jack stand. My car buddies came over to help me assemble the lift and put the compressor in place.I bought everything from Greg Smith Equipment (shipped from the Delaware location). The lift is a "Direct Lift" brand model 8S (lifts 8000 lbs) The assembly took aprox 4-1/2 hours. The compressor is an ATLAS 80 Gallon 220 volt 6.5 hp.I have the job now of running the air plumbing around the garages.I'm slowly but surely getting everything I need to work on my rides or to do another restoration on another build :hurray:.I'll try to get some pics together and post them tomorrow.

nice garage. we have the same lift you will like it. just be carefull when you slide the jack all the way forward or back of the release knob gets caught under the cable and breaks it when you lower the lift. and no you can not buy those seperate .we seem to use the jack tray more than the jack. x 2 on the plastic air line im sure rubadub will chime in on that :)

I used schedule 40 PVC rated @ 600 psi.One would think with that rating it would be OK.Looks like I will be changing to iron or galvanized pipe.

Thanks for the heads up on that.I looked at mine and you are correct.Looks like I will be making a steel guard in front of that knob.

schedule 40 PVC will be ok for about a year then if you hit it just right it could explode I would use the sch 80 or iron pipe.
Awesome garage and cars:thumbsup:
