Hi everyone, I'm new to the site. Bought a 70 Monte a couple months back, started researching upgrades and Team Chevelle kept popping up. I've learned alot just in two months. Doing a bench to bucket conversion now and hope to follow with suspension and brake upgrades(on a budget). I would love to hear opinions on whether to keep the interior gold or change to black. The buckets and console are already black but need covering. The carpet, dashpad, speaker deck, rear seat,and sail panels all need replacing. The door and back panelsare good but faded across the tops. The car is autumn gold with a white painted top.

Here's some pics Doug, and thank you for the welcome Freddy. I had two 72's, one triple black Malibu and a yellow Chevelle ss a "few" years back. This is my first early Monte.

Your car would look good with a gold or black interior as long as you leave the outside gold. If you change the paint color I'd definitely do black on the inside.
