Hi folds thanks for having me MAYBE - , I'M a retired 78 year old gear head native of San Diego and member of Goodguys, Tri-Five Assoc,. Classic Chevys of San Diego, American Nomad Club, and lover of all vehicles, only since I was 13, and restarted the hobby again when I retired in 2003 . 69 camero, chevy van, blazer, 57 wagon, 2. and so on. I Recently purchased a 1969 Chevelle "SS Clone" Wagon, that is a Baltimore build, from No. Carolina, via TN. It's traveling around without being driven. I've always loved long roofs and this is my 6th, it's ready for me to rod it, and make it a dependable ride.. .. I'm just finishing a rebuild on a 1955 Chevy Nomad that came from Delaware, some one else's 6 year revival of a rust pile, that finished with a divorce for the previous owner, to my bonus, I got a painted, together running car, 327/ 700R4, not upholstered, but on a Roadster Shop Chassis in Aug. 2015. I love hands on and I proceed to completely redo the dash, rewire the whole car, installed an original grill, changed tires, installed audio, Vintage Air, Hydro boost brakes and continued fixing and aligned things that the body men didn't re install. interior trim, lift gate, etc. Mean while a friend wrecked ( totalled!! ) his LS power 65 Chevelle SS and couldn't fix it, a year later, I bought all the parts ...... It was a used 1 yr. Chevy Performance crate LSA 6.2 supercharged / 4L85E connect and cruse setup. and I couldn't resist installing it in the Nomad, then I tubbed it, installed 99 Cad. Eldo electric buckets and built a console. I had a headliner installed, and now I'm having the seats and door panels upholstered and the car carpeted.. Its in upholstery jail... so I needed another project ..... UP COME A 69' Clone CHEVELLE SS WAGON. very well optioned!! all SS trim, SS Hood, older repaint, redone custom upholstery, headliner, and carpet. PS Tilt, PW, PL, PDBrakes, 350, 700R4, nice exhaust., large sway bars, front and rear, has polished 15 & 16 American Torque thrust mags, tinted rear windows. It is a nice looking light blue metalic, one repaint, same as original. No dents but a little rust along the rain gutters, may patch them and repaint the roof a contrasting color, will ad a period correct roof rack, and make it a cruser - touring ride. Wife hates wagons so hopefully this one doesnt have to go.. Haven't decoded it yet. I can tell that I've purchased a fun cruzer PROJECT, rear window wont go down, door wind off track, stickey elec. locks , torn seats, going to install 2" spindles on the disk brake front end .

Thanks to CHEVELLE - WAGONS forum for window info already. Hopefully I can contribute to this wonder thing CARS!!! Jerry in san Diego

Welcome, Jerry! Hope to see you at Del Mar (if California opens again). How about GG's Scottsdale?
You need to connect with my friend Philip. He's on here and has a 72 wagon that's an awesome ride, and he did everything to his wagon but paint. He'll know the answers to all your questions.

WELCOME Jerry. Sounds like you've had and still have some nice builds under your belt. I love reading threads like this because only true gear heads understand this is NOT something you outgrow. I'm in my 60's and one of the younger guys in my Car Club, hell one of our older members has to use a walker and he drives a 600+ HP 70 BB GS. My dad had a bad ass 69 Chevelle Wagon growing up and I have a lot of great memories in it, cant wait to see the progress on yours (y)
