Hello and just wanted to introduce myself...My name is Todd and I also grew up in central Maine with alot of cool muscle cars in the 70/80's. I am currently living just outside Tampa Fl. now and shopping for a Chevelle. I just came across a 1971 SS 454/4-speed/12 bolt that has been in west Fl all it's life and stayed in the same family since new. She is asking $6000 for it so I may check it out.

If anyone has any special info I should look for when checking it out please let me know. Glad to be here and look forward to chatting and getting to know peeps. Looks like their is alot of great peeps with alot of great knowledge here.

If the drivetrain isn't original is the price still in the ballpark? I only ask as it seems when it comes to these Chevelle's everyone prefers as much originality as possible, of course.

I think it's well woth that if their is no rust and it runs fine and looks good and drives good I think it worth it

Thanks BMR! I prefer the 68-69 Chevelle before the 70-72. I saw the vert you have and it's pretty sweet! Looking to bring one back to life and not so finished as yours but thanks again.
