Hello friends.
I found you during my google search on replacing a trunk.

I'm about to lift the body off of a '67 chevelle and will certainly need some expert consultation.

Glad to see you're here.
Thanks!
Respectfully,
Joe

Re:

Hi everyone. My son and I just joined. We have a 69 Chevelle SS we are in the process of "restoring / cleaning up". We live in Houston Texas and just wanted to have access to people that have gone thru some of the issues we are facing.

We are considering a new wireing harness and would be interested in recommendations from members as to which brand may be best. We are considering doing it ourselves, but may go to an third party based on comments from the "floor".

We do not have a lot of toys, power accessories, etc as most have been "removed" over the years. We have electronic ignition.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Well, I'm finally back after a violent car accident... ready to get back to work on the chevelle.
Body has just returned from media blasting... and looks wonderful with the new primer coat and .... besides the obvious trunk replacement and rear quarter patches that needs to occur .... nothing else overly hateful showed up after they finished blasting.... a small area around the windshield and the rear glass was all that required some fab work.... it's a nice solid car.

The other day I upgraded my membership to lifetime so, you'll likely start hearing more from me as I embark on the restoration.... need to figure out how to post pictures too.

About to order up the mini tub kit from ABC Performance... so, to "BMR Sales" ... the answer to your question is "yes" .... the mini tub requires coil overs and the front will receive all new items along with rack and pinion... and disc brakes all around.

Also, the plan - as we speak - is to go back with the original aqua blue exterior and interior w/ bench seat ... (still ahead is figuring out how the tremec 6 speed and shifter will work with a bench seat... but that's all part of the fun).

Additionally, I've got the original, unmolested 283 and 3 speed for sale (still runs after sitting in a garage since 1987) along with some other parts... need to figure out how to post these items now that I'm a lifetime member.

Take care
JT
