Well JIM It looks to me like its MSD,S version of the Pertronics IGNITOR that is a good unit and has been around since Hector was a pup. Apparently Pertronics must be cutting in on Msd,s market and proffits are falling . Why else would they come out with something like that now after all these years. The wallet must be gettin a little thin. Remember MSD for years had that market sewed up. I have a complete MSD IGN SYSTEM in my CAMARO IMHO i would not spend that kind of MONEY again. I dont think that PERFORMANCE wise it runs any better. I did notice 2 things about it over the points it starts quicker and the plugs last a longer,but you can get the same results with an IGNITOR at an eight of the price .As for the performance i always ran Corvette castiron window distributors that were well set up with an advance curve kit a quick vac adv can a hot coil and good wires .I will say this the MSD does look purty under the hood. :yes: ALEX
