I had a local machinist fab up a 12 bolt diff for my six five, after blowing the spiders out of the 10 bolt...twice. My question for you guys is, is the 'new posi' I bought from a guy supposed to make any noise when going around a sharp corner (clunk, clunk), or did I buy a bill of goods. I used 80w90 with a tube of equa torque when I installed it. Any help would be appriciated.

I used Royal Purple lube with mine. No clunks ever. Although not uncommon for one of the tires to squeel a bit when turning. Yours could have been installed incorrectly also. Pinion not set right etc. Get the rear end off the ground and see how much difference in play there is between tires.

The oil additive that is sold at most auto parts stores isn't worth the tube it's packed in. Use GM or Ford additive and it will work right.

Ok, I am confident that it was set up correctly, I will get some quality additive. Thanks for the responses guys:beers:
