hey all. i got a new carpet kit and the sound deadener undermatting kit. one side is like sandpaper and rough and the other side is smooth, which side goes up? and should i be using any spray adhesives on the undermat or the carpet? both? Thanks! :D

I'm NOT an interior or carpet professional, but in my opinion, you install the padding with the soft side towards the carpet. Glue it to the floorpan, then glue the carpet to the padding.
I'd consider adding some Dyno-mat (sound deadener/anti-vibration stuff) under the padding to reduce noise even more than just the padding.
Use the right type of spray glue or you are just wasting your time/$$/effort.

Thanks Dan, yeah i welded new pans and cleaned up what was in decent shape. primed it and used a sound deadener/ sealer spray, that black stuff everyone has, got it at Kragen, then going to lay down the under lining mats then carpet, should work out pretty well! I'll find some good glue or goop to stick it all in.
