This is a 4 speed car and I am wrapping a FBO restoration. Is there supposed to be a micro-switch on the clutch pedal that keeps the car from starting unless it is pushed in? I have a pair of wires that I need to jump out to get the car to turn over. If so are they still available? I don't seem to have anything there.

On my 70, theres a slider switch that connects to the clutch pedal bracket and the slide rod connects to a hole in the clutch pedal beam. 2 wires attach to the side of the switch. The switch and slide rod looks like white nylon.

Not sure where to find this equipment, but 1969 was the first model year (I belive) for the "clutch pedal saftey switch". Might have luck in a junk-yard if you can't find a supplier.
