I am currently in the process of installing a B&M rachet shifter in my 72 Elco that is a column shift now. I need to know the location of the neutral safety switch and reverse light wires? Is it attatched to the ignition switch on top of column? Any tips on rewiring them to the new shifter?

They are plugged onto the netral safety switch on the end of your column near the firewall. Look for the two heavy purple wires, those are the neutal safety wires. The reverse wires are pink and green. If you use the column to trans likage there is no reason to move the switch. Otherwise just extend those wires.

Thanks, I am not going to be using the column shift anymore, so I need to extend these wires to the new switch on the floor shifter correct?

I ran the wires from my shifter to the stock neutral safety switch plugs. Even though I do not plan to go back to column shift, I didn't want to cut my wires.
That"s what I'll do then.........thanks guys.
