The inside half of the junction blocks at the firewall where the headlight harness and starter/engine harness plug in are old and damaged. The retaining clips are broken and the harness plug wiggles its way lose. I believe that the under dash replacement harness would include that side of the plug right? I just hate to spend almost $400 right now if I can avoid it! I'll need that harness eventually, but i can't spring for it right now. I've considered just cutting the leads on both sides of the junction and putting bullet connectors on each end, hence eliminating the plug (both sides) all together, but my headlight harness is brand new and I hate to cut it!

Do they sell a replacement OEM style plugs without buying the whole harness? has anyone swapped for something else?

Thanks all!

You will have to find a used one. The block comes attached to the wiring on the inside. Don't forget to us the dielectic grease to seal the metal connections. I installed a new inside and a used engine compartment harness. If the junction block is in that bad of shape you most likely need to replace the dash harness at least. Jb

You may be able to buy some time by replacing the crimp/solder terminals inside the junction block. New ones may have more grip and hold better.

May also be worthwhile seeing if you can fabricate an alternative retainer.

Thanks guys. I figured I'd have to look at replacing the entire harness to get the block right, but I will try to work with what I have.

Appreciate the responses.
