I'm currently putting my 71 ragtop back together after a 4 1/2 year resto. I took pics before disassembly of the stainless trim and weatherstripping that runs up the outside edge of the windshield and goes down into the door area. I've lost my pics and have all the books you can buy on Chevelles, but none show any pics of this area on a convertible for the 68-72 models. Is there anybody out there that has some pics or knows where I can find some? Any help would be greatly appreciated!

John, I don't have any pictures, but I can probably answer any questions you have. My car is a '69 convert.

Hi Rich,
Thanks for answering my call for help. My biggest question is how the 3 pieces (the 2 pieces of stainless and the weatherstrip) that make up the pillar on each side, all screw in together, back into the post itself.
I know so far that the larger piece of stainless screws into the post with 3 screws. It has to align with the top of the windshield stainless. I'm not sure of the alignment of the small stainless channel that the weatherstrip goes into and how it all screws back together on the post. Any help with this or pics you can take (if you have a digital camera) would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Be waiting to hear back from you. John
