When asking questions please try to give as much info as possible, like where this junction box is. Even post pics if you can. Pics are worth a 1000 words. Everyones terminology is different and its hard to give a correct answer.

If im guessing correctly, The black wire should turn to red, and it should bolt to the horn relay. This wire should lead to the firewall bulkhead and powers everything in the dash. The black part of the wire is the fusible link, and the cyl is just a connection between the black and red. See pic.

Where is it located??? Large reds are part of the main wiring, see pic

if memory serve me that black wire should run up to the firewall, i think it goes to AC relay box , it should have a inline fuse near the end but its been awhile since i built a a/c equip car, i will check a harness i have for my next car which is a ac car,

If you have a externally regulated alternator, then yes you need one. If someone converted to a internally regulated alternator, then no, you don't need it. You can tell what kind of alternator you have (internally or externally regulated) by looking at how the 2 small terminals on the alternator are orientated. See this post, w/pics http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=105661

That is the horn relay.

Those 2 wires originally went to the coil positive when using a points distributer. The yellow comes from the starter "R" terminal, the black/cloth (which is a resistance wire) comes from the IGN switch. Are they connected to anything now. Your pics show what looks like a HEI distributer. If you are not using these wires, disconnect the yellow from starter and tape them (yellow and black/cloth) into the harness. Be sure they do not ground out as these wires are NOT fused at fuse box. Only the fusible link protects them.

Does you car have A/C (or ever did). The pic isn't very clear, but it probably was for a idle stop solenoid, or A/C relay.
