I need to add a dog door into my machine shed so my lab can get out of the cold Iowa winter. The problem is he really likes to chew and will chew on anything (and I mean anything and everything - he ate the door we had last year!). Anyone have a recommendation on an indistructable dog door? I've seen adds for Gun Dog brand doors that are supposed to be good but the price seems too good to be true. Anyone have any recommendations? I thank you and so does Hank (the lab).

I saw one on that show 'it takes a thief' on Discovery that they installed which was motorized, the wore a collar with a transmitter on it when it got close it would lift up then close when he was clear. No flap to chew

This is what I put in for our lab: http://www.gundoghousedoor.com/

It was recomended to me by a Hunting dog breeder/trainer I used to work with.

Aluminum frame and polycarbonate window. Works very well ... and NO chew marks. I'm very happy and impressed with it. The company is located in Sabin Minnesota.

There will be a chain link kennel on the inside of the building so Hank's chewing will be tamed in there.

I noticed last night that he had been chewing on the asphalt shingles on the roof of his dog house. He was chewing on a rock the night before.

Wade - That is the door that I've been leaning towards. I think I'm going to order one.
