I just installed a Transgo pro 400 kit because I wanted firmer shifts and full manual control however there is no change in how my transmission functions. There is no change in shift firmness and the transmission still up shifts and down shifts on its own. I followed the instructions but can't figure out what I did wrong. The instructions state I must use the vacuum modelator, is this correct?
The other problem I have is now the gates on my B&M prostick are out of adjustment. 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear are fine but now you have to disengage the reverse lock out to put the car in neutral. I assume this problem can be fixed by re-adjusting the shifter cable but I just didn't get the chance yet.
This is my first time working on a transmission so any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
If you want the full-manual control then the modulator is NOT needed. Did you drill the larger holes in the valve body plate? This is what gives you the harder shifts.
