Hello,

Can anybody tell me what the proper application for p/n 7763303 is? This is an NOS quarter window seal, right side. I purchased this part off of ebay being told that it was the weatherstrip for a 70 two door coupe. Upon receipt I found it did not match my older one.

I should have added that it is a GM part number. P/N 7763303.

I dont know if this helps but here are the closest part numbers I could find to the one you listed above:

7763301 R.H. rear qtr window front sash
7763302 L.H. rear qtr window front sash
both these are for 68 Chevelle Spt Coupe/Conv
Is this the chrome piece with the rubber on it that fastens to the rear qtr window??
Thats what these part number are for.

Correct part number for a 70 model is:
8734082 R.H. front sash
8734083 L.H. front sash

these part #'s cover 69-72 according to my Chevrolet parts book from Oct 77.

Thank you very much for your reply Jones. This site is just awesome!

You confirmed my suspension. This is just the rubber seal part only that slides into the window sash (chrome part). It is very similar in construction to the seals on my '70 SS coupe. The bottom of the seal is a little different however. P/N 7763303 has a notch in the bottom for a retaining screw. Which I believe the '68 has. The seals on my '70 do not have any retaining screws in that area.
