A buddie of mine just bought a reman 454 long block,it's punched 0.80 over which I believe is a 468 he needs head gaskets for it and needs a part number for them. The one that were in it are Detriot Gasket. Any help would be great.
use what ever gasket you prefer, the bore of the gasket is always bigger than the cylinder bore. doesnt matter if its a stock bore or bored .080.I myself prefer fel-pro or detroit
Scott a .060" over 454 block with a 4" stroke is a 468. And an .080" bore with the same stock crank would give you a 471 cid engine. Thats a 4.33 bore on a 4" stroke. I have used the Fel-Pro 1027's and the Fel-Pro 1037's on a 4.31 bore before with no problems. I think either would be a good choice in your friends application.
