Is a 4.56 bore to big for a 502 and will it make it run hot,also I keeping spinging rod bearing first 2 &3 redid motor then turned 5 & 6

When was it cast? The later ones can go 4.600.

The GM write up does recommend it, but it seems that there are alot of them out there.

sort out the bearing problem first, then check out the bore size. There's really no good reason to be spinning bearings in a BBC. did it run low on oil or something? twice?

No oil was good but do a temp of 220 and as high as 230
