I`m pretty sure a 15x8 with 4.5" backspacing will clear a 245/60/15 on the rear of my 65 el camino but I want to make sure before I order them. I know a 5" backspacing will clear a 275/60/15 cuz I had that set up on my last chevelle but I`m not going that big on this car. I wanted to go with 15x7`s all around but can only get them with a 4" backspacing from the place I`m going to order them from and I don`t think it`s enough. I had 15x7 with 4.5" backspacing before and the 245`s were tight. Any help would be great. I started to go through the stickys but there are alot of pages there. Thanks.

For 64-65's w/stock width rears,I would recommend 5" of backspacing on a 15x8 wheel.
Just no room for error with 4.5" on the earlier cars.

Yeah I just didn`t want the wheels to far inward. The 245/60/15 isn`t a very big tire but i have ben thinking of going to the 255/60/15 which is a little wider. The 15x8 with 5" backspacing would be perfect then. thanks
