Rim Metal Auto part Tire Automotive wheel system

Auto part Metal

Metal Auto part Steel Muffler Bumper

My 8.2 rear was making a noise like the bearings were jingling. Almost like loose bearings. Not the wine you get from a pinion bearing. So today I pulled everything out and everything looks great. Back lash was .007. The bearings and everything was replaced about 10k miles ago. The only thing that bothered me was how easy the pinion turned without the ring gear in. I could spin the pinion with my finger and it would do a full turn before stopping. Bearing felt good. No play. I took it out and it looks new. Wear pattern on the gears look good. Im thinging that when the rear was rebuilt they used the old crush sleeve. Make sense???
Thanks
Jan
