Can someone show me a pic of an installed fan shroud for a 70 Chevelle ss 396 with factory ac car 4spd car? My shroud doesn't cover the whole rad, about 4 1/2 inches of the drivers side of the rad is not covered. Fan blades sit about 1/2 way into the opening of the shroud. The fan does not seem to fit into the center of the shroud either, 1/2 inch away from drivers side and 1 inch away from pass side. it has the original 772 7 blade fan and original rad top cover plate with the welded square piece on the drivers side.

Just one more question, my water pump pulley is #397605 is this correct for my set up?? Reason for asking is having issues running hot. SWheaton helped me last year with some timing issues and that got the temp a little better.

On a 70 the entire radiator is not covered by the shroud. They started doing that on the 71s. It sounds like yours is correct albeit possibly not lined up exactly right.

(2) slide in clips on the bottom that catch the sheet metal edge below the radiator; (2) slip on captive nut clips (slip on to the radiator top plate holes) that hold the screws thru the thru holes in the top of the shroud. 18" fan blade max diameter, and fan blades should be half exposed. (NPD sells the correct shroud mounting hardware kit if you are having difficulty finding it.)
