Need a 1969 el camino expert!! I own a 1968 el camino and I am going to add the rear quarter side marker bezels and lens to it. I have the 69 frame and lens and already have the hole cut out in the body. I'm having a problem with the chrome frame fitting flush against the body. The red lens fits perfectly in the hole I cut out but the red lens just sticks out enough to make about a quarter inch gap between the red lens assembly and the chrome frame. I won't fit flush. Does anyone know anything about how this is sould fit? Was the quarter panel on a 69 el camino indented to have a proper fit? I'm having the go around and would appreciate anyones feed back that might be able to help me out. Please e-mail comments. Thanks

yes it was indented. any good body shop should have the tool that put in an offset for mating two panels, before welding.
