Hey Guys...

I have a 71 chevelle with a 350 and recently pulled an old Q-jet that was on there when I bought the car and replaced it with a Quickfuel 680. The new carb has an electric choke on it and I need a 12V "key on" lead for it. Any thoughts on where to tap into? I noticed there's an accesory spade on the fuse panel that seems to have 12V when the key is on. Is this a good option? Any other options?

Thanks for the help.

go for a spot in the fuse box labeled "IGN"- this will only have power with the key in the "run" position, and not if you ever put it into the "ACC" position to listen to the radio or something,

Just be aware when you shut the motor off, the choke flap will close in a few minutes before the motor cools down. If you start a hot engine, you can flood the motor quite easy if you pump the gas pedal. The motor will start, but pretty rough. If it does not happen to you, Great.

Hey guys... Quick question I was poking around a bit just looking at my options and I noticed the TCS relays mounted on the firewall right behind the Carb. The reversing relay has two wires (tan and black) that both appear to have 12V with key on and would be a fused path. I don't know much about this circuit but from a proximity perspective it seems more ideal than the wiper motor way. Any thought if this is a good option as well?

Thanks
