Very cool story. I remember my grandpa telling me that one on his lap when I was no mor than 8 years old. Grandpa was a fighter/bomber mechanic 41-45. He was THE storyteller. A very quiet man until the topic of fighters came up. Then you grabbed your Dr Pepper and bowl of popcorn and shut up. Gramps was the one that taught me not to interrupt when an adult was talking.
