I would really enjoy the twisted do-gooder logic your enlightened legislators / gov’t leaders utilized with the over-sized tire law/rule...sounds way too much like some stuff our crazed leaders might come up with.

I'm not a fan of the hubcaps either, but enforcing vehicle codes seems to be a thing of the past. I see 4x4 trucks with the tires sticking way out past the side of the trucks all the time. It's unlikely these are other than weekend cars so live and let live.
Still, the point of the accompanying article was why should people moving into the area (from out of state and north) be able to tell the natives not to have their gatherings (that have been going on for many years)? This is in Austin which has the motto "keep Austin weird."

Hmmmm. Headline semantic "native Texan" seems to be another PC/left-wing -hyphenated term. What exactly is a "native Texan", and what's "scary" about these native Texans... besides the spoked Christmas trees protruding horizontally from the wheels.
