my car is a 66 non-A/C with 4 speed. No hole.

I have never seen a hole like that before. I don't think it is a factory cut hole.

No hole there on my firewall. But there is one lower down. The hole is for the speedometer cable on a 4 speed muncie. And there should be clips on the bottom of the floor pan on the pass side to also hole the cable.

I think the 66 AIM shows the hole and the routing of the speedometer cable.

Could be. My 68 has dealer installed A/C and has holes similar to that, although higher on the firewall.

Check the floor under the dash for hole that would have been used for the drain. Also, check the underside of the dash for screw holes that would have held the blower and control assembly.

Check the core support for holes that may have been used for condenser mounting.

Also, look for holes on the inner fender for refrig. line and dryer mounting.
