I had posted about this a number of times. Have a Lunati 60203 flat hydraulic. Adjusted static & running many times...1/2, 3/4 then full turn. NG. Saw somwhere on here that 1/4 turn solved the problem so i did that running method & a got serious improvement but still a little noisy.

They always clacked a while on start up even after sitting just one day but now they really clack away and take a while to quiet down. Once they do, they are much better than before but should a new lifter (1000 miles is new in my book) bleed down over night? I think these lifters are crap even though they came with the cam. Why should they leak down like that overnight?

I may try a set of johnson hylifts if I can find them.

What do you think?

What oil are you using? Some oils will drain down more than others too. I have the same cam and lifters in my 65 and there is a hint of ticking at start-up but goes away in a sec. or 2. I have the Delo 15-40 and a half bottle of the EOS in it. Do you have high pressure valve springs/ If so, they may need a bit longer to allow the lifters to fully pump up. Good oil pressure?
