Hello all,
I have a 72 Chevelle Malibu that I have had since I was 17 years old. Now 41. I drove it heavily until gas prices for a teenager were too high. Bought a rice burner to get around on a budget. Never let the car get out of my hands and I am glad I didn't. I am pretty fortunate to have married a lady that loves muscle cars and wants a 68 Camaro of her own so getting rid of the car was never a plan of either of ours. The Carmaro will have to wait until the kids get out of school. For now I am finally in the process of working on the Chevelle. Has some rot in the typical areas, below rear window, rear quarters, trunk. I didn't understand the effects of salt when I was a young driver and will pay the price now. Boy do I wish I did. Anyway, I bought a 88 454 and TH400 that I am in the process of rebuilding and installing in the next couple weeks. Just finished the transmission and started on the engine. Body work will follow during the winter months. I have read alot on this forum and decided it was time to join so I can get some input from everyone that has already gone down the path I am getting ready for.
Thanks
Gary
