My 68 dash bezels for the headlight, ignition etc are old and look shabby. So I bought some chrome paint and painted them and I just don't like how it turned out. Where can I find these, every now and then I see them on E-Bay going for crazy prices and they only reproduce the air vent ball. What to do?

Year One has 2 of the 4 in repro now, but I can't recal which 2. They're made of spun aluminium and from what I've been told, they look great.

Not cheap at about $30-$35 each, but they'l also never chip like the old ones.

Not sure if G.U. carries them or not.

You could get them correctly re-anodized. Probably as expensive if not more than repops. Just a suggestion.

Joe: I think you're talking about the headlight bezels. The dash ones are vacuum metalized I believe.

Yea, I've tried to get them re-done at a few local shops. Say "no way" on the plastic, now the metal pieces, they say no problem, bring it in. I will check into the catologs you mentioned.

The ignition and lighter bezels are the ones that are available - $70.95 for the pair - p. 85 of the latest Year One catalog.
