Those covers put on a car that sits outside is an ABSOLUTE no no!
Holds moister and causes rust like you see....and fast.
Even a year or two will cause a car to disappear from underneath like magic.
Better off without a cover of anykind!
When I was delivering mail here in Pa. , there was a guy who had a car sitting under covers in his yard, on the grass!. I asked at the time and he said it was a mustang. My first thought , a Rustang!. (They rusted just sitting in the sun! lol) It was wrapped tight as a christmas gift in plastic and then a heavy tarp! Literally tucked in at the ground as well 😩 I didnt say anything. He said it was like that for a couple years and he sounded as if he was doing a good thing, "preserving" it. Ill bet IF its still there , that tarp is most likely sitting at tire level by now.

At that point you really need to do a complete evaluation on the whole car and look at the upper and lower cowl, inner rocker reinforcements and floor and frame. Also look at all your trim, interior, seats, suspension, wiring and miscellaneous and ask yourself to what extent are you going to take the restoration to and for what reason. Adds up fast let alone the time to do it all. Can find 136 rollers in pretty fair shape for the cost of just your sheet metal, consumables and time, unless you own a body shop.
As light as it is now maybe a drag strip sleeper like the Calculated Risk 4 door?
That is unless you just need something to keep your self busy with rebuilding and spending some money on or if it’s an SS on the rare side.
Just a thought.

Do you have a question. You can see the trunk was half ass fixed once, rear valence is gone, will need full quarters, trunk (full with braces), drop offs and off course the seal retainers. I can’t imagine the wheelhouse is in good shape. How are the doors, fenders, trunk upper and hood. Are you good at bodywork with all the tools. Not being negative but it makes my car called Murphy for a reason look like a queen.

RKD, I hope we weren't to hard on your car. I noticed your signature that says you waited 39 years for your project and we all wish you the very best with your restoration. When my buddy first saw my car he said "hell that's a resurrections not a restoration". I laughed with him knowing I was looking at a full 4 year restoration and I did complete it after a lot of time and cash but in the end it was all worth it. Hell it's even in the June Ride of the month. Get busy and be proud of your car.

That car needs a whole back end. Quarters, tail panel, deck filler, package tray, trunk floor & drop offs, inner & outer wheel houses. That's pretty much standard with every car we do these days. It's really not a big deal. The parts are available. It's just expensive if you can't do it yourself. To make you feel better, We are building this 67 now...
