Was raining last night so I couldn't get any better shots so this is it until tonight. Taking car to friend to get alignment tomorrow AM!

Front end is sitting a little high because I had just dropped it from the tire install. Needs to roll forward and back some.

Thanks, this was an easy way to correct the faded topside of the car without spending too much $$$. Plus I like the mixture of Matte finish with gloss.

Stopped raining so was able to get the car out for a drive and some pictures. First driving impressions is wow, super smooth, responsive steering and very quiet inside! At 75 mph in 6th gear its turning 2000 rpm. 2400-2500 in 5th. Drove it right at 25 miles to my friends shop, he's doing alignment this morning.

Looks great. How do you like the TMI seats? Do you think you sit lower than stock? I'm looking for some headroom.

I believe the TMI seats are lower than the stock buckets. Very comfortable too. I sold my stock seat frames so its a little hard to compare.

I really like the TMI seats other than it costs $150 to delete the TMI logo on the seat backs. Ridiculous.

Glad to hear you're getting some miles on it finally!!

What speakers did you go with in the kick panels? Did you have to mod the parking brake mount?

I can't remember the brand, will look tonight. Yes I cut the pedal arm and moved it over about an 1".

I couldn't find a speaker to fit without modding the sheetmetal, and where the speakers sit is the reinforcement for the door hinges, so that was out. Then I'm running a clutch, same as you, and was worried about p-brake pedal to clutch distance.

Yike! $350.... wow. When I ordered my seats in early 2018 I was told the TMI logo delete was around $125 per seat.

I just ordered TMI seats. It's $350 for the emblem delete.

WTF? They are pretty damn proud of that embroidery. So [email protected]#$% stupid you have to pay to delete it. Honestly I would already bought a pair for my 67 but that damn emblem looks terrible. I would like it to look "stock " but the TMI logo ruins it.

I've got nearly 150 miles on the car now. Working on getting the EFI dialed in closer. Think I have the fuel map close, very little Closed Loop correction going on now. Found out the timing map I used was for a LS1/2 which from what I could find like more timing than the LS3. Redid the entire timing table to lower the values in the idle and cruise areas of the map. Seems to have helped, engine will tolerate being lugged some when letting the clutch out better than before. Data logged the cold start up last night and am going to work on that now.

Overall impression is Wow, it drives so nice! The T56 is smooth and easy to shift. 5th gear at 60 mph is 2000 rpm. 6th gear at 72-74 is 2000 - 2100 rpm. Car is very quiet while driving, in fact with the windows up I have to watch the tach more as I can't hear the engine well enough to know when to shift. Ended up with 5.5 degrees of caster and 0.25 degrees of negative camber for the front end, drives very nice and straight doen the road.

A couple of annoying thing I have noticed,
-The quick ratio steering box combined with the smaller diameter steering wheel won't turn the Ididit column enough on a normal RH/LH turn to cancel the turn signal. Not sure if there's a fix for that.
-Don't think my idea of hiding the old mast antenna under the dash will work well. I does pickup stations but poorly. Might have to look into a better hidden antenna. Or forget it altogether and just stream live radio from my phone to my bluetooth amp...
-Carpet has developed some wrinkles, will have to have my interior guy steam it out again.
-The inexpensive Holley 92mm throttle body I bought has a very annoying HISS when the IAC count get above 25 or so, which is what the engine needs during cold start up. Did some research and looks like I can port the passage bigger and smooth the sharp corners to make it quiet down. Going to tackle that this weekend.

Went to a small local car show in Stone City IA over the weekend. Beautiful area, it's where the artist Grant Wood used for a lot of his landscapes.... anyway won a Best of Show Trophy! I'm not into the trophy thing but it was a good acknowledgement of all the hard work.

I ordered them through Matt's Classic Bowties. The price was a bit better than ordering them off TMI's website. But $350 is still pretty steep. Its piece of mind though, I know how much those emblems would drive me crazy..
