Does anyone know the name of or the website for a tranny rebuilder on Long Island in New York. I am told he is big into Muncie's.

Larry Fischer at D and L transmission. He is known as one of the best anywhere. Great guy and very reasonable. He did my Muncie in 2003 and it is still perfect. He works during the day so call him after 4:30.

I worked in Mamaroneck for 6 years and am now on Long Island in the summer. Give Larry a call he will fix you up good. Tell him Bill Van Orman told you to call. Where are you now? I am in the golf business and worked at Winged Foot for those 6 years. Great town.

Bill, I am up in Somers and just put the body back on my chassis, 1970 SS. When the tranny mount was bolted in, ( I wanted to set the mount ) by someone else,it was cross threaded, I went to torque to 30 lbs. not knowing it was crossed and dicked up a thread. I really want an M22.

Have Larry build you one of those new Autogear M22's. I am going to in the near future as well. I lived in North Salem and Carmel as well. Got married in Somers at the Episcopal church. Beautiful country up there.

I see what you are saying. That can't be fixed You are going to have to get an Autogear M22. Just have to:thumbsup:

For now, the wide ratio will stay in for first start up, but eventually I will have to change to the M22.
