i have a 325 case muncie that i can't figure out the date.it is "P0805".i have looked very close,and am positive that the third digit is "8" and not a "B".what have i got?thanks

I believe that is a pre-1967 Muncie. Date is August, 5th (0805).

Someone please correct if I'm wrong.

A 325 case was used in 64-65 and would not have the letter in the middle of the stamp.
I believe Ethan is correct.

If it is stamped on the passenger side of the case, it is a 1965 case. If it is stamped on the side cover flange it is a 1964 case.

Might be a partial vin stamped into he case as well.

P0805 on a 1325 case means August 5, 1963 for a 64 production vehicle, or August 5, 1964 for a 65 production vehicle. Hunt for a vin # on the case and hopefully it will start with either a 4 or a 5 telling you which year it is.

Seems like I remember early 64 production 1325's saying "Patent Pending" instead of having a patent # on it, but I might be confused about that. Anyone else know about that for sure?

There are some minor differences in the castings from 64 to 65 too, but to be honest I have to have the two laying beside each other to see to remember exactly what they are!
