I have a 78 El Camino and I want to put duals on but don't want to loose my ground clearance.
Is there a muffler, possible out of a Camaro, that has 2 inlets and 2 outlets?
The EC is all stock at this point, 305 2bbl with auto and 2.73 rear, but the exhaust is about to fall off. The plan is to keep the stock manifolds and install an X pipe with the new muffler in the stock location behind the axle.
Also, who makes body bushings for these things? Just looking for stock rubber ones. Thanks

Bob, You will also have crossmember issues as well, but there is a crossmember that you can purchase or yours can be modified. Check out www.montecarloss.com I have seen the people there talking about a revised crossmember supplier.

Bob,
You might profit from my mistakes. I did what you are planning and dumped the pipes out on the sides using Chevelle tips. The look is the only thing I got right. Please modify your crossmember under the trans as I didn't. Check out the street rod low profile mufflers which you can mount in FRONT of the rear axle. I installed the single muffler with multiple outlets/inlets as you described ... had to build/modify hangers, etc. ...never got decent sound and did get vibrations. But the Chevelle tips behind the wheels look good. They are all I plan to save.
