I building 69 chevelle that still has a stock distributor in it. I want to put a 6al msd ignition with a hei unit in it, my ? is, what else do I need to get besides the box..what do I change in the hei unit...is this a hard change to do...what about rewiring this. What happens to the resistor in the old hei, somone said to change the module, what does this do...okay enough said please help me if you want or can...thanks [email protected]

I wouldn't worry about a used Delco module inside the HEI. If it works, a newer one won't help. There is no resistor inside a HEI, only the resistor wire to the old coil.
A lot of people just tape off the wire connections that went to coil (+) and tie them back. A new wire is then added from the fuseblock IGN terminal to the HEI BAT terminal. One place to get a new wire and HEI connector is here.
