I decided to try ngk plugs BR5ES this time since i have to replace the acdelco r45xls . I have a msd 6al box , blaster 2 coil , billet dist. Motor has 11.25 compression pistons ( speedpro 2349f ) .
Does the gas i run make a difference in the gap i need ? I had the delcos at 50 but thinking i should got 40 or 45 max gap ?

I run .045" with my antique Delta Mark 10B, a stock Chevy coil, cap, and rotor, and ACCEL 300+ wires. With new gas and plugs, everything is fine to 7000. An MSD should be capable of MUCH better performance than the Delta. I have run plugs to .060" with no problems. I only have 10:1 compression and I'm burning gas, so I don't need a lot of spark energy.

I like old stuff.
