So I have a cruiser 327 building for my 68 Camaro ragtop. For an assortment of feature and fitment issues, desired stock or period retro look, have ended up with an Eddy C3B. Gotta have that fill tube. Anyway, I did not see ign coil mounting tabs. What did people use for mounting coils back in the day?

I'm going to clean the intake tomorrow, look for a nicer fill tube and breather cap.

If you have not seen the car, here she is. I have worked on it two years at Bates Technical. Lots and lots of metal work, some new metal, monts of prep work. I shot color just before Easter. Will add the weight, do the final set of the panels, then apply D90 mustache striping in Ermine White. Will have 215/65R15s RWLs on it, powdercoated Ralleys.

Scott, as always and forever please do not offer to sell parts on the forums. Use the classifieds or PM/email. ----Thx, Tom

Maybe not for HEI clearance but maybe because an HEI doesn't need to mount a coil on the manifold at all. Maybe, at some point, Edelbrock thought if anyone is going to be old fashioned enough to run points and a coil they could just figure out on their own how to mount the coil!
