Good evening,

I am curious how you all mount your tachs to your cars. After playing around with mine, I believe that the column is the best place to mount it. (It's easy to see, right in my line of vision, and I think that is the most logical place to put it. But, I don't want to just use a "hose clamp" to mount it because I don't want my column to get scratched up.

How have you all mounted them? What parts did you use?

thank you,

Greg

I used a hose clamp on mine. I put a length of heat shrink tubing on the band part, long enough so that only the adjuster was showing. Now it looks like a solid black strap holding the tach on.

If you don't want your column to get scratched up just use some rubber (cut up old bicycle innertube?) around the column and put the hose clamp over that.
