Anyone know how to remove the housing seal on a Moser 12 bolt. It sits up in the housing a pretty good ways. Is a slide hammer the tool I'm looking for? If it is where do I look for one?

Its a axle seal. I have the axles with the big Ford bearing on it. The axles are keep in with a retainer plate on the outside of the backing plate.

The axle seals are up in the housing. The seal puller I have is apparently one for seals that sit on the end. As I mentioned these seals are up in the housing a good 6 to 7 inches.

I know what you are talking about. I have a slide hammer with a hook on it that I use to remove them. When you install the new seals be sure that you use a little sealant inside the axle tube where the seal will go. This will seal up any scratches in the housing where oil might leak past the outer part of the seal.
