Well she passed. Held on for 7 months after the stroke. We took her off life support last week and she lasted a week after that. A sign for me she did not want to go. very hard for me to type aboutt this right now. Her body came back after autopsy and we donated the brain for stroke research. of course the stroke led to her death but i would like to get some feedback to prevent strokes in the future. Hard 7 months for me working on my clients 70 trans am and going 4 hours round trip several times a week to see her. But i did it and would do it again.

So sorry to hear this... My brother and I had to make the decision to take my mother off of life support, then watch her take her last breath..To this day in my life it was the hardest thing I have ever been asked to do, but you just need to do what is best for her, not you..

Thoughts and prayers are with you and yours from the Salerno family..

Really sorry to hear this. I am facing the same thing shortly. Had to make an emergency trip to see my mother a few weeks ago. Dad told me if I didn't, I most likely won't see her again.
Facing this myself makes me really feel your pain.

Take care in this time of great loss.

Sincerely,

-Garry

Mike, may you feel peace at this difficult time. Your mom’s organ donation to help future stroke victims is a positive to come from this. My mom passed away in ’94 from ovarian cancer, she agreed to very experimental treatments, it gave her 2.5 years after diagnosis, but what the medical field learns from people this goes on to help others down the road.

I just got in from a really bad day and was ready to start venting and ranting, but after reading about your loss, it made me realize just how insignificant my bad day really was. It made me realize the importance of priorities and family. I'm sorry for your loss.

I know this is a very hard time for you but I do offer my best wishes and prayers.

my thoughts are with you and your family.
I lost my mom 11 years ago, and my dad this past year.
I wish there was some way to dull the pain, but time will sort of heal you.
I still miss both of them everyday.
