Went to take a ride in the 67 today, it was alittle chilly so I turned on the heater and got hit in the face with a mouse nest that was in my heater box. What can I do to keep these mice out of my car during the winter months? Don't want to use poison they might crawl back up in my car and die. Any suggestions. Thanks

years ago an old guy that had restored cars told me to place a urinal cake on a plate in the car when it is stored. I have ever since and have not had any problems with the little bastages since.

I've been told dryer sheets will keep them away.

Could try a cat. but that might present a whole new set of problems ;)

I just keep traps set all around the edge of my shop and even one on my work bench. I catch a few every year. Peanut butter really helps.....

Since we live in a rural area we have lots of field mice. I have a cat, works like nothing else. She catches about 4 a week and snacks on them. She has access to the cars and garage and doesn't damage any of them. The males I have had did scratch the cars and spray on wheels, get a female and have her spayed if you decide to try this natural appraoch. But be prepared some cats could care less about catching anything, I even had one that was afraid of mice. Our cat is pampered and spoiled. In the summer she is out at night and sleeps all day and now that the nights are cooler she hunts in the day time and sleeps on my bed all night. She gets to eat premium dry and canned cat food and gets treats of people food. As long as she keeps protecting the house from rodents she is worth it. Oh by the way, ALL cats have attitudes :)

U can get rid of groundhogs and moles by lighting a road flare and sticking it in their hole. Sulphur drives them CRAZY!!! They'll leave ;)

Thanks guy's, Can't really get a cat because I rent the garage. And I am not there all the time, Then i would have to worry about a dead cat, lol.I guess I will have to try the moth balls and dryer sheets. And maybe some sticky traps in the corners of the garage, Thanks guy's Jeff
