Its for the stock style oil pump drive. The bushing holds the stock style shaft from falling off the pump.

Mellings M77 Plastic Bushing
Throwing my 427 back together. The old pump was a Mellings M77HV. The new pump is a plain M77. Installed the "Blue" spring. My question is: What is the plastic sleeve/bushing that came with it? My old one didn't have one. Whats this for?

Run your Moroso pump driveshaft, its all you need.
