Can any one give me a measurement for the placement of a GM horse shoe type shifter?
I would need a refrence point I.E. front floor seam, there is a square elevated pad toward the rear of the hump that could also be used? Any pictures would also be very helpfull. My problem is that my car has been changed from a shift to an auto, but they left the hump for the 4 speed. I would like to remove and smothe the hump as it would be in an auto. car and the remount the shifter in the correct place.
any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks !!!

Believe it or not once youve got the tranny tunnel converted over the shifter will really only sit in one spot correctly it will only have about 1/4 inch of fore/aft room to move.
