really it depends on which side your alternator is mounted: original style -- on driver side (usually short shaft H20 pump & no accessory holes in heads), newer style -- on the pass. side (long shaft H20 pump w/ acc. holes in heads). need more info from you to help. 64elkynss

It has a 1980 350 with the alternator mounted on the driver side. the wpump pulley is OK and the bracket mount holes are in the heads. I'm not sure about what steering box or centerlink/pitman arm or if there is anything else I don't know about.

With the alt on the driver's side, easiest way is to buy a kit for swp sbc from one of the Chevelle suppliers. You might find a complete intact donor, but it's not likely these days, as the cars are now 44 years old. You will need the pump, brackets to the block, possibly the crank pulley, p/s box, lines and I'd even grab the bolts, as well as the pitman arm.

I forgot, are you running headers? The old log-style exhaust manifold (driver side) has the built in bracket for the bracket mount which seems to be key for mounting the brackets on that side. Some companies make a bracket to go with headers, but it doesn't work with the original brackets. 64elkynss
