My name is Nick, I live in Livermore Ca. (Northern Ca.). My first car was a 70' Chevelle. Basic young kid story of playing with a muscle car every day after school and on the weekends. Loved it, but found myself into trouble street racing and the car ended up in a million pieces from big idea's of a full race car but never even came close to finishing it. It now sits in my fathers garage :(, hope's of one day having my first car back on the road never happened.

I am married and have 3 kids and really been thinking of finding another one for a nice cruiser for the family. Been kicking around another 70' because of the first car I drove or a 66' because that was always my second favorite.

Maybe this site/seeing others might push me to make myself find a Chevelle. Anyone that can direct me to some good looking Chevelle pic's I like a clean new school street look. Big wheels and low profile tire with a great stance. Nothing crazy on engine. Something nice to take out for a weekend drive.

Right on .. I just looked up your name and you have some nice mod's on the Dmax. Cognito product :hurray:.

So who can direct me to some nice 70's that members have around here. I like the street bigger wheel look. I know it's not what most might want but I like it ...wait let me say not big like 24's and crazy but like some 18's...do many run 20"s?

*** UP-DATE !!! ****

So it took me seeing all these other great looking cars to really put my goal of a very long time in motion and as of about 3 weeks ago I am a happy owner of this 1970 Chevelle :hurray:

Details:
47k miles
307 all stock
20" Coys Wheels polished
255/35r20 front
275/40r20 rear

Car was painted about 2 months ago and it's not my first choice of color
but it really looked pretty nice after seeing it and it will hold me over till I am ready to do what I want for paint after I tackle some other parts of the car. Over all I am happy, it's not a 100% perfect car but I am OK with that as I can go at my own pace but still enjoy it with my wife and kids.

And here I feel is the best part, my kids (1 is missing as she is alittle older and doesn't like pics) This is something we can all jump in and take out on the weekend for lunch or just drive around on a sunny day.

The car still has single exhaust that was cut off before the axle so it goes in for a new dual exhaust next week. Next will be some new springs and shocks to make the ride better. From there not really sure yet because of course there are so many idea's but not enough time and $$$$ :).
