Hey guys,
I f I get a supercase and iron midpalte will my M20 have any change in a street driven 496 car?? No abuse, just a show car and it has stock 14x7 tires. What are your thoughts, or do I go T400 right away?

I don't care if you have a blown 632 with a 500 shot of nitrous. "No abuse and 14x7 tires".......it will be pretty hard to kill that trans.

Our M20 has stood up behind the L72 motor for the best part of 200K miles. I never ran slicks, which will quickly find the weakest points, but I did run some pretty big rubber on the back and leaned on the car fairly hard lots of times.

“Hats off” to anyone that can resist a 496 4 speed. I’d have to give her the onion on occasion just to make sure everything works properly.

If it doesn't hook the only thing you will break is your wallet buying tires. If it hooks you will find your weak drivetrain parts in a hurry.
