I think I have about narrowed down my selection for Cam/lifters/springs/etc.

I believe I will be going with a setup from the VooDoo line. I did my pricing at Summit, but I didn't know if there was a better place to go through, or if there was factory direct pricing available.

Thank you,

Big D

I can't say what the difference for your items will be but I ordered a solid roller voodoo cam from http://gpsuperstore.com . It was roughly $25.00 less and free shipping. They are a sponsor on Team Chevelle and pretty good to deal with.

Just be sure to check Summit online as well- I ordered cam and lifters (60101) and was billed $170, plus their $11 fee for shipping across the border. When I got the catalog with it...the ad on the back had a list of $190.00???? BTW I ordered 10pm on a tues and recieved it by 1pm on Fri- including the tie up at the border. I was impressed.

My local speed shop got it to me 30.00 cheaper than direct from Lunati. Summit didn't have it, so I had no other choice.

I was wondering that myself. I know the machine shop owner personally and he is getting the prices for everything I need, but I was also doing the shopping as well to see if there was anywhere I could save.

For instance, he is getting my Rotating assembly for less than what I could find on the net. I guess this is just because he isn't looking to make a profit on the parts, just on the labor, which I think I am getting a heck of a deal on.

Complete valve job, increase valve size, bowl plent, mild port, bore the cylinders, etc.. and assembly for $800.00. I don't know what this stuff would normally cost, because this is my first, but I think that this is a good deal.

I have heard this before, regarding Advanced Auto....actually from a guy at Lunati! They have very good prices on them, just make sure you know what you want to order when you go there, you know how it goes when they say 'what vehicle is it going in' . :p
